Can I Bring My Dog on Hunts and to the Lodge?

Of course! Not only do we have dog boxes in every hunting blind or pit we offer, we also have a big kennel back at the lodge!

What Do I Need to Bring for Duck Hunting?

Every hunter should have a MO waterfowl license, shotgun, shells, and we feel every hunter SHOULD have waders. Also, you will need a federal duck stamp and your HIP survey completed.

What Duck Species and Geese Do You Normally See?

For ducks, we normlly are see mallards, pintails, teal, gadwall, and spoonies. We do normally have a lot of snow geese around as well as Speckle Bellies. There are thousands of snow geese and speckle bellies that call our area home every winter.

What's NOT Included in your Duck Day Leases?

Meals, Transportation to and from the blind, license, duck stamp, waders, shotgun, and shells.

How Big are your Hunting Blinds & Pits?

While we try to make our hunting blinds and pits as roomy as possible, we do not hunt more than 6 hunters out of each. Not only do we feel it can get a little crowded, simple safety is our #1 concern. If you have a large hunting party, larger than 6 duck hunters, then we can split up into multiple blinds or pits. Self-guided waterfowl hunts can be booked to hunt one of our rice field pits or you can book a hunting blind on one of our managed wetlands. If you would like to hunt a rice pit or the managed wetland's blind then just request at time of booking for availability. Dog boxes on every blind/pit too!

Self-Guided Duck Hunt with Lodging

We offer the private lodge, large decoy spreads, blinds fully-brushed, and all the pre-season prep work handled ahead of time by Mallard Farms. A member of Mallard Farms will meet hunters the afternoon before scheduled hunt to show them their hunting blind, provide any scouting reports, and answer any questions.

Self- Guided Hunt with Lodging Package

We offer a unique opportunity for waterfowl hunters who want to hunt the well-known rice fields and wetlands of Southeast Missouri. We DO NOT GUIDE you on these duck hunts, we simply give you everything you need to enjoy it with your group on your own. Our lodge is in close proximity to all hunting farms as well.

We provide an exceptional hunting lodge that sleeps up to 12, and give you all the opportunities possible to enjoy a great waterfowl hunt with your crew (dog kennel included at lodge and blinds).
